It's called co-housing, a movement that took off in the '70s in Denmark, and this kind of arrangement among seniors is a growing trend in Canada, whether it's people sharing one house or a larger apartment complex.
Learn about how three friends are successfully co-housing. They have known each other for over 40 years and all are very active in their 70s. Barb and Mary are retired teachers and Phyllis is a retired health care administrator. They say it is the best decision they have ever made. Barb said they save money by living together but the best part is that they are not lonely.
